Data privacy and security

Protecting your privacy and your information is a priority at ICC. We have taken careful measures to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of your information. Once we receive your information and it has been entered on our web site, it is stored behind a firewall. All ICC employees are aware of our privacy and security policies. Your information is only accessible to those employees who need it in order to perform their jobs.

While navigating through certain pages of this website, Internet users may communicate personal information to ICC. Any personal data collected in that manner is intended exclusively for ICC and its subsidiaries. Registration information for the educational module is to assist ICC in determining where training material is being used, to follow up with updates and case examples as ICC collects them, as well as to help ICC gather materials with representation from around the world.

Except for the uses mentioned above, such information is considered confidential and treated as such.

Pursuant to the French law entitled Informatique et Libertés (“Information Technology and Civil Liberties”) No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, persons who communicate personal data are entitled to access, correct or delete such data free of charge sending an e-mail.

Said requests must be confirmed by faxing a copy of the user’s identity card bearing the user’s signature. The request must specify the returning mailing address. ICC shall have a period of 2 (two) months after receipt of the request to communicate, supplement or delete the information, as the case may be.

Pursuant to Article 6 of the Act of 21 June 2004 entitled “pour la confiance en l”économie numérique” (law promoting confidence in e-commerce), the web hosting service retains the Website users’ connection data covered by professional secrecy and processed in compliance with the statutory provisions on personal data when such data makes it possible to identify the users of the Website.

ICC occasionally hires other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including webhosting and mailing. We will only provide those companies with the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

If you wish to insert a hyperlink to our Website, you should enter into contact with THOMAS-RAYNAUD Elizabeth. This site may sometimes offer links to external sites over which ICC has no control. ICC shall under no circumstances be held liable for providing access to external websites via hyperlinks and shall not be held liable for the privacy practices, contents, products, services, etc., available on said websites or via said websites. ICC hereby expressively disclaims all responsibility and liability which may arise therefrom, especially, but not limited to, statements given on or damages caused by those sites.

Storage of browsing information

When you browse through the Website, information is stored in your computer through the “DOM Storage” process. Such information does not permit the publisher or web hosting service to identify the internet users: on the other hand, the DOM Storage process records information on how you browse our Website on your computer (the pages you have viewed, date and time of viewing, etc.) that we can read during your subsequent visits.

Visitors as well as members access and use this site at their own risk. ICC disclaims any and all responsibility or liability vis-à-vis the visitors and members associated with the access and use of this site unless it is based on a wilful or gross negligent behaviour.

The content of this site is:
* information of a general nature only and not intended to address the specific circumstances of any particular individual or entity;
* not necessarily comprehensive, complete, accurate or up to date;

ICC does not assume any responsibility or liability for the accuracy, completeness or relevance of data or statements on this website, nor for the use made thereof by the visitor or member.
